also, to enable this, i refactored a lot of hacky stat tracking (did you know in the first prototype the actual UI was the thing keeping track of your points? yeah bad idea :P) into an actual GameState object which in the future can allow me to do fancy features with metaprogression/etc.

Also we have a Discord, feel free to post screenshots of your highscores there (or in the comments below) until we get a fancy online leaderboard maybe.
